Hebrew-language magazine Epok reported that the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has recently resumed launching rockets from various areas within the Gaza Strip toward multiple targets in what is called “Israel.” These targets include towns around Gaza and areas in Jerusalem, following a months-long pause.
According to Epok, citing Israeli security sources, this points to a partial recovery of Hamas’s military wing and its renewed ability to produce rockets. The sources indicated that hundreds of new rockets have been manufactured, aided by the introduction of specialized lathes in tunnels that continue to be operational despite the ongoing blockade and hostilities.
On Monday, a home in the Sderot settlement—located on the periphery of the Gaza Strip—was hit by one of three rockets fired from northern Gaza. This comes as rocket launches from Gaza into nearby Israeli settlements have recurred over the past few weeks, despite fifteen months of relentless war and a suffocating siege on the Strip.

Back on October 7, 2023, when the latest large-scale conflict began, the Israeli army ordered tens of thousands of settlers living near Gaza to evacuate their settlements. Since then, many have been accommodated in various hotels throughout the occupied territories, awaiting official permission to return to their homes.
These developments underscore the resilience of the Palestinian resistance, as Hamas continues to assert its stance against the ongoing occupation and blockade, striving to defend Palestinian rights and maintain the spirit of steadfastness in Gaza.
