The Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported that a senior Israeli military official informed journalists last week that the Air Force is preparing for what was described as “the next major mission,” hinting at a potential operation against Iran.
Other Israeli media outlets have echoed the possibility of an aerial attack on Iran, framing the current circumstances as a “historic opportunity” for Israel.
Earlier, Israeli military analyst Yossi Yehoshua told the Arabic-language Israeli news site i24 that “the Israeli military and Air Force are preparing for an attack on Iran.”
He noted that the preparations are taking place against the backdrop of a significant blow to Hezbollah, in addition to the collapse of Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria.
