The Lebanese Hezbollah targeted “Al Hadath” channel, part of Saudi Arabia’s “Al Arabiya” network, following its publication of an alleged report about a figure targeted in a raid conducted by an Israeli force in the coastal area of Batroun in northern Lebanon.
“Al Arabiya” claimed that the targeted figure was Hezbollah leader Imad Amhaz, who was allegedly kidnapped by an Israeli special force.

“Al Arabiya” also asserted that it had obtained this information from a source inside Hezbollah.
However, Hezbollah strongly denied “Al Arabiya’s” claims, stating in a press release that “Al Hadath channel has consistently published news attributed to a source within Hezbollah, particularly regarding today’s Zionist aggression in the Batroun area.”
The party added, “Our policy is absolutely clear, as we have previously explained and emphasized in earlier statements, that there are no sources within Hezbollah or close to Hezbollah.”
Furthermore, they continued, “Moreover, these alleged sources should not be providing information to Al Hadath and its sister channels, which are blatantly and antagonistically engaged in the Zionist propaganda machine against our resistance and our Lebanese people.”
Social media platforms circulated video footage showing a special security force of more than 10 people escorting a Lebanese citizen in the Batroun area of North Governorate after infiltrating by sea.
