An Israeli Channel 12 correspondent, Shai Levi, revealed a scandal involving the spokesperson for the Israeli military forces, Daniel Hagari, and details concerning the propaganda efforts aimed at portraying progress in the incursion into Lebanon.
Levi shared, through posts on his account on the X platform, that Hagari took a group of Israeli journalists to the border area, leading them just a few meters into southern Lebanon.

He pointed out that the Israeli military spokesperson deliberately excluded him from the list of accompanying journalists because “he did not want to face tough questions.”
Levi emphasized that the primary aim of this media tour, which focused on a house allegedly containing large amounts of weapons, was to “serve the military’s propaganda purposes.”
He added, “Entering just a few meters into Lebanon was not surprising to me. I have a source within the military spokesperson’s office who keeps me updated on ongoing developments. Therefore, I contacted an officer in his office, informed her about the tour, and requested to join them. Yet, Hagari barred me from attending.”
