The Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced the arrival of more than 1.2 million pilgrims to the Kingdom from various countries.
This came during a press conference for the Hajj affairs, where the rituals begin on Friday, June 14th, after the Saudi authorities sighted the crescent moon of Dhu al-Hijjah in the Hijri calendar on Thursday.
The Saudi Supreme Court announced on Thursday evening that Friday is the first day of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
The court clarified that the standing at Arafat will be on Saturday, June 15th, and Eid al-Adha will be on the following Sunday.
1.8 million pilgrims participated in the Hajj season in 2023, including 1.66 million from outside the Kingdom.
